Hook it on the gong gut or hold it in your hand, Gong Genie adds gently mysterious upper tones, the like of which your gong wont have made before.
When hung from the gut it leaves both hands free. It lifts easily on and off. The tone changes depending on where it hangs on the gong. So it comes with a hanging loop to allow for different placements.
Gong Genie can slao be held in your hand and waved like a wand to add touches of magic to your sound, it’s tones changing with pressure. Really expressive.
The silicone ‘hands’ and ‘feet’ are different sizes and interchangeable, for a variety of tone combinations.
For gongs 32” upwards
The softest and friendliest mallets you can get. URSA MAJOR and URSA MINOR are the perfect grounding mallets for Sound Healing.
You can ease your audience into their session, then raise the Vach Choir with a firmer stroke, and guide them through realms of insight, empowerment and healing.
The cuddly fur is synthetic, not from a bear, chicken or even a fish. All Epic Mallets are vegan!
With no discernible contact sound whatsoever, they’re very forgiving to play. Both together makes not only a nicely contrasting pair, but are perhaps all you need for a gently healing sound.
Check the video below and ‘Demos’ tab to hear them.

These tiny characters bounce gently on your gong in response to low frequencies. Even with the gentlest of big mallet strikes or large flumie strokes they add a repeating, echoing chime to your sound.
Simply drape them over your gong gut (no knots needed). They can hang over the back of your gong when not in use if you like.
Further sonic explorations can be made by positioning them in different place on the gong face.
Echos (they come in pairs, one bigger than the other for tonal variety.) available in Orange, green, White and Blue
Echo Minis (four tiny ones on one cord) are randomly coloured and chime higher than the regular Echos.
For nicest effect I recommend a minimum of two Echo Pairs, or one Echo Pair plus an Echo Mini
WOOO! My Gemini I and II rollers have introduced a new way of playing (for me at least). Yes you can play them gently, but you can also get really percussive with them and play bold rhythmic patterns and flams without the fundamental or crash getting out of hand.
I’ve wrapped them in the same gentle faux fur as the Ursa mallets, so no matter how hard you strike there’s no discernible contact sound.
Gemini I
I’ve found a sweet spot in terms of weight and shape - even when you strike firmly the fundamental doesn’t dominate either. Certainly on larger gongs (32”upwards), the Gemini I Rollers deliver more energy to the overtone that is one above the fundamental, giving your gong a different character that is rich but not bombastic. With a Gemini I in one hand you can then play the fundamental independently with a heavier mallet such as the Deep Energy, Saturn or Ursa Major.
Gemini II
The relationship between the Gem I and the Gem II is like that between the Ursa Major and Minor mallets. The latter is slightly lighter and firmer to bring out a bit more treble, a little less bass. Again, wonderful as a roller pair or as accompaniment to a heavier bassier mallet in the other hand
The Gemini Rollers are great fun to play, you can really let rip even, and keep the bass and crash in check.

Dense and bouncy for deeply sonorous tones, with very little effort (so it’s easy on the wrists).
Blossoms beautifully with increased stroke weight. Great for gradual swells and decrescendos or maintaining a low end drone whilst perhaps decorating it with a smaller firmer mallet in your other hand. Encourages a different approach to the lower end in terms of playfulness, rhythm and low overtones. DEEP ENERGY always goes in my bag!

One of the first mallets I developed were these tiny precursors to my Stardust mallet. They haven’t been in my store for years. Then @chuck_piliero messaged me to make more, for a posse of US gongsters who find them fundamental to their sound. So my ‘Chuckeroonies’ are back 🎉They’re bright and nimble and very strong!
ORBIT - A small celestial body in permanent harmonious rotation around a larger one. Double ended mallets are a game changer - I’ve seen even seasoned gong players have an OMG! moment.
Each end of this mallet can be used on their own, the larger end for some low-mid range warmth and the smaller end for shimmering brightness. Lovely on bowls I’ve been told (the larger ends raises bith the lower and higher bowl tones).
But ORBIT comes into its own when both ends are played at the same time - low and high frequencies in glorious two part harmony. With practice you can raise and lower these two dimensions independently too.

VOYAGER II has a focussed sound that sits below the highest range and above the mid range. So layers and accents with these will sing clear amongst the other sounds you have going on in the ‘mix’. Double ended mallets are a game changer - I’ve seen even seasoned gong players have an OMG! moment.
VOYAGER II is a double headed mallet. I’m a big fan of my ‘double headed mallet’ technique. With double headed mallets you have the option of playing just one end, or play both simultaneously - so smooth roller layers with one hand. Your other hand free to add an extra dimension!

For players who are ready to dive deeper into their gong’s acoustics and play with greater authority.
Colours may vary from those shown.
VOYAGER II - Focussed mid range layers and patterns, with the creative freedom of a double headed mallet.
45mm - Effortless tones and fascinating overtones, a harmonious 5th above the fundamental note.
DEEP ENERGY (large) - Isolate the low end.
MARS - Medium firmness for plenty of tone variety around the face, balanced energy without the low end getting carried away.
The magical STARDUST II raises silvery layers from your gongs. Double ended mallets are a game changer - I’ve seen even seasoned gong players have an OMG! moment.
STARDUST II is a double headed mallet - hold it in the middle and play both ends at the same time if you want. Is easy to do - just hold it like a pen and ‘scribble’. The handle has guides to easily find the best place to hold it. Drift each end across different areas of your gong for endlessly changing high end prettiness. My STARDUST II mallets reveal new sonic dimensions from your gong. It’s ‘rollers’ but played with one hand, leaving your other hand to add a third layer if you like (or sneak another sip of cacao!).

A great set of mallets and flumies for gongsters who are just starting out, or only have ‘standard’ mallets (M5 etc).
Colours may vary from those shown.
GREAT BEAR - Grounding, soft, warm and friendly depth.
MOON - Accents, patterns and layers in the mid/high range.
15/25 FLUMI - Sings beautifully with the lightest of touches. Two sizes on one flexible shaft for a wide range of pitches.
STARDUST II - Double ended shimmering highs, can be played singly also!
Lively silicone flumis that play easily across the gong surface, draw a range of warm resonances and bright overtones. They are resilient, and if played properly (its a soundbath, not Hendrix) the balls wont fall off.
They require only the slightest pressure (no swinging gongs!) and sing a wide variety of pitches in different areas of the gong and with changes in pressure.
Most of the pitches are harmonious 5ths and octaves, and can create single tone shifts and binaural beats. Ok, I can’t guarantee they’ll work this way on all gongs since there are so many types, and Ive not tried them extensively on Chinese gongs, but I’ve managed 5ths and Octaves on ‘western’ gongs. And the fundamental frequency of your gong will determine affect things also. Flumies will always be slightly mysterious in their behaviour.
The small pairs have a flexible carbon fibre shaft allowing for beautiful melodic playing.

When new the flumies might leave a silicone deposit on your gong. This will stop with a bit of use (the 60mm will take about an hour of playing). It's not hard to remove, and silicone is inert no harm will be done. And people come to hear how great your gongs sound, not how pretty they are!
15/20mm - double for melodic playing.
35mm - an 8ve + 5th above the fundamental, as well as other intervals
40mm - a mysterious 9th above the fundmental
45mm - a 5th above the fundamental
50mm - the fundamental, and a tone above that also.
60mm - like the 50 but with more bass. Can play a fifth below the fundamental with practice and a bit of luck.
80mm - my biggest flumie. Like the 60, but with MORE!
Firm, light and playful for high filtered layers, patterns and accents. Perfect for gong rims, hand drums and bowls too.
All without disturbing lower frequencies that may be developing with a lower register mallet in the other hand perhaps. Contrapuntal exploration on one gong!
Available in 3 colours.

My Planet mallets are for gong aficionados who want to dive into the realm of ‘touch’.
The four planet mallets are beautifully balanced and identical in every aspect apart from their texture. It leaves you fully appreciate how a gong’s sound changes according to the softness of the mallet that is making contact with it.
The two firmer mallets are ‘stubbies’. Their short shaft gives you much better control over how hard they strike (essential for firm mallets that have weight). And it lets you get really playful since it makes the mallets more mobile and nimble. Hold them by the handle, or for a more ‘exploratory’ tapping approach around the gong (overtones to be found!) hold just below the head.
SATURN (Soft) Rich lower tones.
MARS (Medium) Warm with enough firmness to raise the brighter tones as you strike harder.
VENUS (Firm/stubby) Plenty of presence and fastish attack. Bright yet keeps the richness.
PLUTO (Very Firm/stubby) Endlessly varying bright bell like tones. To be played lightly in moments of stillness. Reminds me of the universe.

The biggest Epic Mallet. Deep and warm. Hefty but not heavy. There’s no good reason for big mallets to have long handles, it’s just tiring on the wrists, so this handle is shorter and chunkier. Glorious.
