VOYAGER II
VOYAGER II has a focussed sound that sits below the highest range and above the mid range. So layers and accents with these will sing clear amongst the other sounds you have going on in the ‘mix’. Double ended mallets are a game changer - I’ve seen even seasoned gong players have an OMG! moment.
VOYAGER II is a double headed mallet. I’m a big fan of my ‘double headed mallet’ technique. With double headed mallets you have the option of playing just one end, or play both simultaneously - so smooth roller layers with one hand. Your other hand free to add an extra dimension!
